Job Description
- Participate in preparation of method of statements and procedures for Asset Integrity and FFS.
- Technical support for fixed equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks and piping systems).
- Provide technical advice and Assistance to the inspection team in preparing the method of statement for inspection of static equipment and piping.
- Support the implementation of fixed equipment and piping inspection programs across multiple sites based on risk-based inspection (RBI) practices.
- Conduct Fitness for Service (FFS) analysis and calculations (API 579Levels 1,2 and 3) for static equipment and piping.
- Provide design verification services according to applicable codes and standards.
- Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to in order to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering demonstrating a strong academic foundation in the field of structure/fracture mechanics.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in static equipment design and fitness for service assessment including piping systems.
- Solid knowledge and experience in API 579 Levels 1, 2, and 3.
- Solid knowledge in relevant codes and standards, including ASME Section VIII, PD 5500, API 510, 570, 653, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Solid understanding of mechanical repairs related to pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, and piping.
- Solid knowledge in inspection techniques and their limitations, indicating a comprehensive understanding of the practical aspects of equipment assessment.
- Demonstrated experience in relevant static equipment design, FFS and fracture mechanics software packages such as PV Elite, Signal Fitness for Service, ANSYS,...etc.
- Excellent technical proficiency in English, both written and spoken, essential for clear communication and documentation.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and other Windows applications, showcasing proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
