Job Description
- Develop anticorrosion strategies using methods such as Cathodic Protection (CP), Coating, Painting, Chemical Treatment, and Corrosion Resistant Alloy (CRA) to optimize quality and minimize costs.
- Prepare engineering corrosion philosophy documents.
- Perform corrosion failure analysis as per Project/Assets requests to identify causes and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Provide technical support and work closely with Asset Integrity and Fitness for Service team.
- Anticipate corrosion rate needed for remaining asset life calculation.
- Participate in preparing method of statements and procedures for Asset Integrity and FFS.
- Support the implementation of fixed equipment and piping inspection programs across multiple sites based on risk-based inspection (RBI) practices.
- Ensure that safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to in order to maintain a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process and utilities of petroleum refineries and chemical process plants, focusing on corrosion-related aspects.
- Solid knowledge and experience in API 579 and RBI.
- Solid knowledge in relevant codes and standards,
- Excellent technical proficiency in English, both written and spoken, essential for clear communication and documentation.
- Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel and other Windows applications, showcasing proficiency in data analysis and report generation.
